Just yourself and your baby (and your usual baby bag)! I'll provide towels, oil, something to sit on, and handouts. However, if your baby has eczema or any skin allergies, please feel free to bring a trusted fatty cream/moisturiser.
Yes, of course! At Bump to Baby we are both bottle and breastfeeding friendly - you can feed your baby however and whenever your baby needs without judgement.
You're more than welcome to bring your partner, a friend or a family member with you as support. We really encourage partners or other caregivers to get involved with the massage - we have dolls to practice strokes on or you can take turns massaging your baby.
No, I'm simply there to facilitate the class and give you gentle guidance through learning the strokes.
Classes are held in a quiet space in my home or via Zoom. If you are on the North Shore, I can also come to your home for a group of 5 or more babies (and parents) for an extra fee to cover travel costs.
If you have multiple babies (e.g. twins, triplets, Irish twins, etc...) you will need to bring another person, preferably another parent or caregiver, to assist you with massaging your babies.
That's totally okay! Crying is your baby's way of communicating what they need. Sometimes babies cry when being massaged, particularly in certain areas - this doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong. Please feel free to comfort your baby however you and your baby need without fear of disturbing the class.
Your baby needs to wear something that's easy to take on and off. Towels are provided to keep your little one warm and to prevent any accidents. As for you, wear whatever you feel most comfortable in!
